This week we are in Massachusetts, a state deeply affected by the prescription drug abuse epidemic, co-hosting community education presentations with Representatives Nick Collins (South Boston), Martin J. Walsh (Dorchester) and Steven M. Walsh (Lynn). These presentations will help inform educators, counselors, health care professionals, parents and mentors about teen substance abuse.
Attendees will also learn about Time to Act, one of our science-based resources developed with unrestricted support from Purdue Pharma. Time to Act is the centerpiece of our intervention platform and provides parents with step-by-step advice and guidance from top substance abuse experts, family therapists and fellow caregivers on how to step in and take effective action if they think or know their child is using.
