NYU Silver School of Social Work’s Substance Abuse Conference

The Partnership at Drugfree.org is proud to co-sponsor the NYU Silver School of Social Work’s substance abuse conference next month.  The conference, “Substance Use: Responding to Changes in Policy, Research and Services,” will present current information regarding substance use prevention, treatment and recovery policy, research and services within the context of Health Care Reform and today’s mental health and addiction landscape.

The event will take place on December 14th and 15th, and will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about the successful integration of research into practice and to address opportunities and challenges to substance abuse prevention.  Attendees of the conference will have the opportunity to earn both CEU (NASW) and CASAC (OASAS) credits.

Invited to the conference are all substance abuse and medical professionals, people in recovery and the families of people affected by substance abuse.  Students in social work, psychology, public policy and other counseling programs are welcome to attend on a space-available basis.  For more information or to register visit the NYU Silver School of Social Work’s website.
