D.C. Bars and Restaurants Can Serve Alcohol Until 4 A.M. for Inauguration

/By

Bars and restaurants in Washington, D.C. will be able to serve liquor until 4 a.m., and can stay open 24 hours continuously until the day after the presidential inauguration, NBC Washington reports.

Local legislators last year decided to allow extending bar and restaurant hours on select holiday weekends and for the inauguration. If a business serves alcohol until 4 a.m., it must also offer food service through 2 a.m.

This week, liquor stores in Washington, D.C. can begin submitting applications to sell alcohol on Sundays, the new report notes.
