Nonprofits that work to educate the public about the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual welfare of children may apply for funding through the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation.
The grants support knowledge dissemination about new and innovative organizations as well, as the work done by established groups that has the potential to help children in multiple U.S. states.
Grants typically range from $1,500 to $70,000. Application deadline is July 15. For more details, see the foundation's website.
