N.H. Bill Calls for Parity Coverage of Addiction Treatment

The New Hampshire House of Representatives is considering a bill that would require insurance companies to cover treatment of addiction on a par with other illnesses, the Friends of Recovery-New Hampshire, said the complexity lies in people's prejudice towards chemical dependency. “They have it on a moral plane,” said Harding. “There are indications opponents would consider parity if the coalition were willing to drop alcohol and drug addiction coverage.”
