Ohio Governor Announces $36 Million in Drug Treatment and Work Readiness Funds
Ohio Governor John R. Kasich has announced $36 million in new drug treatment and work readiness funds. The funds are designed to help people addicted to prescription drugs get treatment so they can go back to work.
The governor also announced the creation of Opiate Task Forces in 23 Ohio counties designed to provide education and prevention to end the use of opiates as a drug of abuse.
Terrific! But what about non-opiate AOD problems? Unless Ohio has dropped in from another planet, they have lots more drunks than druggies, including those already on the job who make more mistakes, take more sick days, and use more health care than non-AODD folks.
