NEW YORK, NY, August 8, 2006 -- On August 22 from 2-3:30 pm EDT the U.S. Department of Justice will be hosting a free, live interactive webcast and satellite broadcast titled “A Community Partnership Approach to Addressing Meth” to discuss the state of the meth epidemic in our nation’s communities.
Mike Townsend, director of the Partnership for a Drug-Free America's Methamphetamine Demand Reduction Program, will be a guest panelist on the program to share insights on meth prevention.
What Will Be Discussed? Viewers will learn how community policing and partnerships can be used to enhance enforcement activities as well as prevention efforts. Special features of the program will include the following:
