No matter how old you are, it’s about staying “above the influence.” That’s the thrust of our latest major advertising campaign.  Teens in high school today face competing pressures that can contribute to risky behaviors, including the use of marijuana, other illicit drugs and alcohol, and sexual activity. Being above the influence is all about self-determination and self-control.  It’s about recognizing the power of negative influence and rejecting it – not letting anyone or anything influence you into being less than you.

Catch the “Above the Influence” spots on 12 cable networks, such as MTV, Fuse and The N, and major broadcast networks like Fox, WB and UPN. On the Web, 18 Web sites such as Yahoo, GameSpy and IGN.com are also carrying the campaign. National print ads will launch in early November in 23 publications, such as Teen People, Skateboarder, J-14 and Playstation magazines. In addition to TV, print and online, a variety of non-traditional out-of-home media will spread campaign messages at malls, arcades, gaming stores and cinemas.

According to IAG Research's advertising ratings, our "Above the Influence" campaign is now ranked in the 10-most-like television ads now running in the country. In the crowded commercial marketplace, that's quite an accomplishment.
