Dear Partnership,
What a wonderful job your ad campaign is doing of making moms and dads aware of
the fact that parents are not the most popular folks on the planet! It is our
job to set limits. I have a 15-year-old boy who calls me "ancient"
and "a freakazoid mom". But I know he will be thankful later. There
is a time and place for everything in life. While he has plenty of freedom, he
also has plenty of boundaries and if he messes up...he has consequences.
It is not easy, but when he is out, I am more certain everyday that he will be
inclined to make the right choices. So many parents are afraid to be parents in
this generation. I am not sure why. Our parents were parents and we turned out
to be loving of them for that! I can't say how many times my brothers and I
have written cards to our parents for anniversaries or birthdays telling them
THANK YOU! for being the kind of parents they were... even though we are tested
all the waters! Keep up the good work! I especially like the
"Interrogator" and the chocolate box that says "To Mom and
Dad... I hate you".

Dear Partnership,
Great advertisement in newspaper today. "A Card For Mom & Dad - I hate You."
Gets a great point across.

Dear Partnership,
Your advertisement in this weeks issue of Newsweek caught my eye. As a former pot smoker
and a father to two young boys I can understand your message. And I would like to add my own.
Concern and love for your children does not make you a hypocrite.
Therefore do not be afraid of your past when speaking to your children about drug use.
|
Dear Partnership,
I appreciate those commercials on TV about parents being an effective anti-drug solution.
I have two children myself. I hope that parents everywhere take your message seriously. Thank you.

Dear Partnership,
"Nicole's Story" was brilliant and so
was her song. What a great help to others. I’m a Community Nurse and advise
parents about drugs. I’ve never done drugs but now I can give confident advice
and give them your story to read. Thank you, as you may have helped some of my
patients. —Emma

Dear Partnership,
Thank you for keeping my son’s name in your
Memorial Wall. Naturally I wish he were not a part of your wall. I cannot
change that fact or the fact that he is gone. But when I open your web site and
find his name there, it let's me know that people do care about the ones that
are missing -- and the survivors, as well. —Anonymous

Dear Partnership,
I am writing because I found out about the
launching of your campaign regarding Ecstasy education, and I am so glad that
finally people are beginning to realize what a dangerous drug it is. Seven
years ago this Saturday, I woke up in the hospital after being unconscious for
three days, and after suffering seizures, heart problems and severe
dehydration. I was 19 and the doctors told my mother I would probably not wake
up, and if I did, there would be brain damage. It was a miracle that I was ok.
To say that experience changed my life is an understatement. I am now 26,
married, happy, and continually frustrated when I hear the latest reports
regarding increased Ecstasy use among teenagers. They just don't know the
risks. I wish there was something more I could do and I commend your efforts to
educate the public. Thank you, —Clarissa

Dear Partnership,
I think the structure of your site is spot on.
It caters well for your target audience and I am very impressed by the range of
on-site information...I visit very many sites and I must say that on quick
perusal, your site is the best I have seen. Regards, —Jim

Dear Partnership,
I wanted to let you know that your story about
your Danielle Heird
touched me deeply. I am doing an English paper on the drug ecstasy and I used
Danielle's story as an introduction to grab peoples attention and let them know
that this is real and you can die the first time you take Ecstasy and you can
also die the twelfth time you take. Thanks so much for your help. You are doing
a GREAT thing by putting this information on the Internet and letting teens
know this is real. —Stephanie

Dear Partnership,
I wanted to get helpful information about
how heroin or any other drug can effect the lives of normal people. I just
really want to take the time to say thank you. When I first went on this
website I was very impressed. It had everything that I needed to know about
drugs and related topics. —Samantha E. Kroeplin
