NEW YORK, March 5, 2007 – The Partnership for a Drug-Free America will hold the release of its Teen 2006 PATS research until the 2007 data is available for review and comparison. Several inconsistencies have been detected in the 2006 data, relative to both past Teen PATS and other national drug use surveys.
“Our primary purpose in releasing our research data has always been to empower families, parents and communities with the most relevant and reliable information,” said Steve Pasierb, president and CEO. “We want to add clarity to an often confusing and complicated issue, so the 2006 data will be held until we can better understand it in context with both the 2005 and 2007 findings.”
