NEW YORK, April 6, 2007 - The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is pleased to announce the election of John Partilla and McGhee Williams Osse to its Board of Directors.
Partilla is president of Time Warner Global Media Group and senior vice president of Time Warner. He helps bolster advertising and marketing revenue growth across all Time Warner businesses and leads Time Warner’s global media division in its mission to partner more effectively with major Time Warner advertisers. Partilla has also grown advertising revenue for Time Warner’s international businesses by expanding U.S. programs globally.
Osee is co-CEO of Burrell Communications Group. In her 21 years with this full-service communications agency, they organization has received multiple honors, including Advertising Age 2006 Multicultural Agency of the Year. Osse also manages Burrell’s Atlanta office with a focus on marketing insight and account planning. Before joining Burrell Communications Group she was marketing director for RTM Inc., a field marketing manager for KFC, and a marketing manager for General Mills Restaurant Group. Osse then brought her marketing expertise to Burrell Communications, where she has developed key accounts such as Verizon, P&G, and McDonald’s Corporate Communications. Osse completed her post-graduate course work in advertising at the University of South Carolina.

Together, these new partners’ vision and proven leadership will further enrich the Partnership as we continue to evolve in our 20th year."
In addition to being an outstanding leader at Burrell, Osse has served on various boards and committees including the Ad Council Board of Directors, Board of Directors for the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research, and the Central Region Board of Governors for the American Association of Advertising Agencies. She has also leant her skills to the African-American Advertising Committee (AAAA), Mosaic Council Executive Committee (American Advertising Federation), Board of Advisors for the Institute of Brand Research at the University of Texas and the Board of Advisors for Strive Media. Osse has a personal passion for the arts, coupled with a strong admiration for photography.
Previously, Partilla was founder and CEO of Brand Buzz, a creative solutions agency within the WPP group. He was also EVP, Global Client Leader of Sony Electronics for Y&R and a member of the Y&R Worldwide Advertising Board. Prior to his positions with WPP, Partilla managed a varied roster of client portfolios over his Y&R tenure, including Colgate, Verizon, Kraft and Viacom. He also led Y&R’s global business development efforts. Based on his business development achievements, Partilla was selected as one of Crain’s “Top 40 Under 40,” as one of New York’s leading achievers across all industries. Partilla sits on a number of boards, including the Advertising Club of New York and the Second Stage Theatre Group. He resides with his family in New York City.
