This year, we will honor William C. Weldon, Chairman and CEO, Johnson & Johnson. Johnson & Johnson will be recognized and saluted for its 17 years of stellar support of the Partnership. Chairing this meritorious event are Victor F. Ganzi, President and CEO, Hearst Corporation, Sir Martin Sorrell, Group Chief Executive, WPP, Robert W. Scully, Co-President, Morgan Stanley and Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, MD, MBA, President and CEO, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Hannah Storm, Co-Anchor, CBS, The Early Show, has graciously agreed to serve as our Mistress of Ceremonies.
The MetLife Foundation will receive the Partnership's Pioneer Award in gratitude for its longtime support of the Partnership's programs helping parents raise drug and alcohol-free kids. Last year's awardees were Daniel Burke, Retired President & CEO, Capital Cities/ABC, Thomas S. Murphy, Retired Chairman & CEO, Capital Cities/ABC and American Association of Advertising Agencies.
The Partnership hosted its first Making A Difference Gala in 2003. Now an annual event, the Gala honors trusted and respected leaders for their outstanding commitment to the Partnership's mission. Past Honorees include James E. Burke (2003), Tom Brokaw (2004), Ralph and Brian Roberts (2005) and Allan H. (Bud) Selig (2006).
