A face of addiction

My son died at the age of 32 from an overdose of legally prescribed prescription drugs.  Something no parent wants to go through. There are no words that can express the feelings that overcome you as a parent.  Anyone that is a parent that lost a child, no matter what age or cause, knows the pain.

I was not aware that these types of pain drugs could be prescribed in such quantity to cause an overdose death. My son was a good person that was caught up in the trap of prescribed narcotics that caused the addiction that led to his overdose death.

Scott was loved dearly and was a good, kind person. If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. There are no words that will ever take the pain away.

"Son, no farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew and God only knows why. Rest in Peace.”

Oh Gin, he WAS a good person. They were all good beautiful people. They simply got caught up in the demon of addiction. I am so very sorry, you have lost Scott Patrick. I lost my son to a heroin overdose two years ago. I know words help only for the second you read them. But you will return here to these words, and you will remember you are not alone, that we here care and Love you and Scott Patrick. If he was 100 and you 150 years old, it would still hurt this much. I wish you Love... and Peace

I am so sorry to read about the loss of your son. No parent should have to endure the loss of a child. Although it may be of little comfort, know that there are many of us out there- you are not alone. May peace be with you.

This has happened to me. I am really sorry for your loss. It is really hard to find the words to say when it is what is inside that hurts. Please take care.
